Coogee Oval Set to Impress with new Skills and new Technology

Last September of 2019 Coogee Oval welcomed a brand new Southern Cross LED screen.

The LED screen stands at a souring 4 metres high with a total of 10m² of video screen and vivid image display ability.

The functions and layout for this board are endless however the multifunctional software to include both primary sports of rugby union and cricket makes it perfect for Coogee Oval to enjoy all year round.

The board includes scoreboard software for Rugby Union including the ability to display Home and Visitor team names and logos, tries, goals, penalties, final goals, a game clock and a single line message displayed at the bottom. This all inclusive software allows Coogee Oval to display all the important information in vivid clarity and makes sure spectators know when the stakes are high!

The second function of this LED screen is scoreboard software for Cricket. This includes the ability to display team names, wickets, overs, batsman, runs, outs and a single line message at the bottom. This board allows easy input of game information and quick changes between teams and scoring. All our LED screens are controlled with an easy to use controller however this cricket board can also be controlled via the MyCricket App!

Not only is this board great for Coogee Oval to support their local sporting teams but the interchangeable display enables them to advertise themselves or any of their sponsors logos and products. This function also adds a great opportunity to engage the crowd with entertainment when the cricket days get long.

A quick visit to Coogee during the designing and manufacturing process ensured that we had a clear understanding of their facility layout and their club needs. This board was designed and manufactured in house ensuring the customized size and structure fitted perfectly at Coogee Oval and between Coogee’s proud team billboards. Just like this one for all of our products we ensure quality of materials and that the highest level of manufacturing standards are adhered to. 

Coogees LED screen is encased in an aluminium powder coated enclosure to ensure stability and durability of the scoreboard structure. The front LED’s are coated in an IP-65 protective waterproof mask ensuring the board is protected against the harshest conditions and the coogee beach salt spray.
